The Penn State Alumni Association

What’s been happening:

My most salient memory is the first Penn State football game I attended - couldn't believe the incredible energy as tens of thousands of people cascaded towards the stadium but I both understood it and felt it too! Of course there were other memories. Hoping the computer lab assistant would keep the lab open just a few minutes longer so I could finish that spreadsheet.Gleefully losing hours in the library on a Friday afternoon. Assisting Prof. Jerome Williams with his research projects, thinking how interesting and fulfilling it must be to be a marketing professor, the last item leads me to my current profession. I returned to academia in 1997 to teach and research in marketing, with a particular interest in technology mediated marketing - online and digital environments being front and center. Currently hold a joint faculty/administrative position as Assistant Dean in the School of Business at a liberal arts university (University of Redlands). Eleven years ago I married another PSU Smeal alum that's also an academic (Dr. Craig Pearce) and we're enjoying life as DINKS (dual income no kids) in Southern California. We split our time between living in Claremont (50 miles east of LA) and on a ranch in the high desert of California (160 miles south of Las Vegas).
